Abstract

Purpose: This study is for the prosthesis of dogs. Observe the occlusal relation between the dog¡¯s canine and carnassial teeth. The strength and the direction of the occlusal by 3D FEM analysis.

Methods: The mandibular canine and carnassial of dogs were tested. The dog¡¯s skull was contact point confirmed by dental CAD. The skull of the dog was 3D modeled by CT. The 3D model was analyzed by ABAQUS. Opening and closing movement has been a force of 100N, 200N, 300N, 500N, 1000N, 1,500N. The peak von Mises stress distribution was confirmed.

Results: As occlusal force increased, stress appeared to 1.34 §ç, 3.32 §ç, 5.00 §ç, 6.19 §ç, 5.58 §ç, 5.47 §ç in left canine. and Stress was seen at 2.10 §ç, 3.08 §ç, 3.89 §ç, 5.50 §ç, 7.04 §ç, 7.18 §ç in the right canine. Stress appeared at 2.41 §ç, 3.53§ç, 5.15 §ç, 7.28 §ç, 31.26 §ç, 67.22 §ç in the left carnassial. and Stress was seen at 1.57 §ç, 2.96 §ç, 3.76 §ç, 6.01 §ç, 20.94 §ç, 64.38 §ç in the right carnassial.

Conclusion: Peak von Mises stress values were found at the peak of the canine, the buccal of the central cusp of the carnassial, and the occlusal surface of the distal cusp.
